Banana Bread

Amount Ingredient
1 c mashed bananas (about 3 medium, very ripe)
2 ea large eggs
1/2 c butter, melted
1 1/2 c all purpose flour
3/4 c sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
pinch salt
1 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)

  • Preheat oven to 300°F.
  • Generously butter and flour an 8" x 5" x 3" loaf pan
  • Using a wooden spoon, mix together bananas, eggs, and butter in large bowl just to blend.
  • Sift together flour, sugar, baking soda and salt.
  • Add flour mixture to banana mixture; stir just until blended.
  • Add nuts if desired.
  • Pour mixture into loaf pan.
  • Bake for 60-70 minutes.
